What I do

I’m an experienced full-stack developer. I build reliable and secure web systems to order, from simple websites to full e-commerce services. I’ll work with you to understand your needs, and build a powerful system that is tailored to your business.

I work directly with clients, so there’s no account manager to go through. That makes communication a lot easier, and keeps my rates competitive too.

What I use

I specialise in Python and Django development. If you’re not familiar with them, Python is a programming language that allows me to write robust and reliable code quickly. Django is a powerful web framework.

I’m also experienced in Java, C, C++, Objective C and PHP, as well as front end web languages such as HTML, Javascript and CSS. Consider me a programming language connoisseur. 

How I work

I recognise that someone has to maintain and manage systems once I hand them over, so I write idiomatic and robust code that future developers can quickly understand and build on. I follow conventions and design patterns, making systems easy to develop and deploy. 

I understand computers from the transistor level up, so your servers are safe with me.

Who I am

I live in Hampshire, within easy reach of London. I generally work remotely and travel or Skype to meetings. I’m happy to work independently or with a design agency.

When I’m not tinkering with computers I enjoy dismantling cars and making things. I can regularly be found idling around country lanes on a bicycle as old as me. I also play in the band Flight Brigade, meaning that I am an actual Rock Star Programmer.
